BUCKLE BACK Armchairs

A matching pair of bespoke vintage armchairs, classically stated with button tufted seat backs, and uniquely punctuated with buckled & belted exteriors. To modernize the traditional 20th Century Queen Anne look with a color palette to fit the 21st Century home where “Black and white is everywhere…”1, we opted to cover this solid pair of restored frames in a multi-toned gray2 Top Grain leather on an almost black, deep espresso stained and varnished hardwood. Each seat is buttery soft and fully supported by an eight-way, hand-tied steel spring bed under high density seating foam. The predominate graphite and iron shades in the leather are the result of “Sauvage” hand-rubbed finishing, soft hues perfectly matched by matte black1 dome nails. These armchairs are virtually unique and available only as a matched pair, measuring 30 x 32 x 39 inches and weighing approximately 50 lbs each.
