A beautiful Phyfe-type example of Empire Classical, this full-sized Mahogany sofa is plushly upholstered, and also features four detailed Brass lion’s claw feet, typical of the Empire Classical look. Classic book-matched veneering on the back rail gives the illusion of three dimensional depth. The interior seating is completed with 100% new, traditional upholstering components including: eight-way hand-tied, heavy gage steel coil springs covered in a layer of cotton, high density seating foam, and a final layer of wool batting for an optimal seating experience. This sofa is completed with Top Grain leather, buttery smooth and finished in the ‘Sauvage’ technique, a traditional hand-rubbed finishing process that adds luster and multiple subtle color tones that compliment the natural Mahogany hues. These Italian hides are exceedingly soft and the highest quality available. Copper-topped dome nails complete a more modern take on a traditional look. Wood, leather and copper harmoniously combine to create warm and enduring classic seating, perfect for any room in home or professional office.
