Yet another beautiful example of Empire Classical, this full-sized Mahogany sofa is plushly upholstered, and also features four detailed solid Mahogany lion’s claw feet, typical of the Empire Classical style. We got a little crazy and gave the claws a little "toe nail polish" by gilding them with 23.5 carat gold leaf, resulting in a very unique look. The interior seating is completed with 100% new, traditional upholstering components including: eight-way hand-tied, heavy gage steel coil springs covered in a layer of cotton, high density seating foam, and a final layer of Merino wool batting for an optimal seating experience. This sofa is also covered with Top Grain leather, buttery smooth and finished in the ‘Sauvage’ technique, a traditional tanning process that adds luster and multiple subtle color tones that compliment the natural Mahogany. These hides are exceedingly soft and the highest quality available. Antiqued dome nails complete a traditional look. Our craftsmen have carefully hand-gilded several other carved details with gold leaf to further accent this already stunning period piece. Wood, leather and gold are again harmoniously combined to create warm and enduring classic seating, perfect for any room in home or professional office.
